The problem of the research: The book Muntakhab al-Athar fi Al-Imam al-Thani al-Ashar by using a special method in document analysis and by bringing each of the issues raised in the chapters of the book, narrated many times by the Fariqain (Shia and Sunni), has been written by Grand Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Lotfollah Safi Golpayegani. This article has been organized with the aim of revealing the various aspects of the present book's points and possibly explaining some of the criticisms on it from a documentary perspective. The method of this study is descriptive, analytical and critical in collecting, library, and in analyzing views and documents. The findings of this study suggest that the book Muntakhab al-Athar is a very rare book in terms of document method and it is considered a very good model work for the future writings. However, some explanations are needed in the field of document analysis methodology specific to this book, such as the basics, principles, and method, and finally, the presentation of the document analysis model, which if these items are added to the book, it will shine to a great extent.
